Banana Split Fluff is a no-bake, creamy dessert that captures the classic flavors of a banana split in a light, fluffy, and colorful treat. It combines banana pudding, whipped topping, fruits, marshmallows, chocolate chips, and nuts for a fun and easy-to-make dessert perfect for gatherings and family meals.

Ingredients

1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix

1 1/2 cups cold milk

1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (thawed)

1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

1/2 cup crushed pineapple (drained)

1 cup chopped strawberries

2 bananas, sliced

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Maraschino cherries for topping

Optional toppings: whipped cream, sprinkles, extra chopped candy or chocolate pieces

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant banana pudding mix and cold milk until the pudding thickens, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until well combined.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows, drained crushed pineapple, chopped strawberries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts (if using), and mini chocolate chips. Stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the texture to set.
  5. Before serving, top with maraschino cherries and any additional toppings like whipped cream or sprinkles.

Notes

  • To prevent bananas from browning, toss slices in a bit of lemon juice before adding.
  • You can make this dessert up to 24 hours ahead but add bananas and cherries just before serving.
  • Use plant-based whipped topping and dairy-free pudding mix for a vegan version.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days; bananas may brown over time.
  • Optional nuts include walnuts, pecans, or peanuts for texture.
  • For extra chocolate flavor, add mini chocolate chunks or drizzle with chocolate syrup.
