This recipe delivers sweet, savory, and umami-packed bites every time. Great with rice, quinoa, or veggies, and easily adaptable to your taste.
2 salmon fillets (5–8 oz. each)
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
Optional Garnishes:
Black or white sesame seeds
Green onions, sliced
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Divide the sauce in half.
Marinate the salmon fillets in half of the sauce for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Place marinated salmon fillets in the air fryer basket. Baste with some of the reserved sauce.
Air fry for 7-8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Serve hot with the remaining sauce and optional garnishes like sesame seeds and sliced green onions
Spicy Variation: Add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the marinade.
Citrus Boost: Add a tablespoon of fresh lemon or lime juice.
Herb Option: Stir in fresh herbs like dill or parsley.
Sweet Swap: Maple syrup can be used instead of honey.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes or microwave for 1–2 minutes.
