Crispy and juicy chicken tenders cooked in the air fryer and glazed with a sweet and savory honey butter garlic sauce, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)

4 tablespoons butter, melted

3 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to prepare the honey butter garlic sauce.
  3. Place chicken tenders in a large bowl and pour half of the sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
  6. Remove chicken tenders from the air fryer and toss with the remaining sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked (165°F/75°C).
  • For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes or hot sauce to the sauce.
  • Try adding dried herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the tenders before serving for a cheesy twist.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 3–4 minutes to keep crispiness.
  • Frozen chicken tenders can be used but may require longer cooking time.
  • Maple syrup or agave nectar can substitute honey.
  • Butter can be substituted with margarine if needed.
