Crispy and sweet Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips are a quick and easy homemade treat. These delightful chips are coated with melted butter and a cinnamon sugar blend, then air fried to perfection for a crunchy, flavorful snack that’s perfect for sharing or enjoying anytime.

Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Sugar

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Chips

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 flour tortillas, 8 inch

Instructions

  1. Mix cinnamon sugar. In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until evenly combined to create the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  2. Butter tortillas. Brush the melted unsalted butter generously on both sides of each flour tortilla to ensure they crisp up nicely and hold the seasoning.
  3. Season. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the buttered tortillas, making sure each side is coated well with the sweet and spicy blend.
  4. Cut. Using a pizza cutter, slice each tortilla into wedges, typically into 6 to 8 pieces, to create chip-sized portions.
  5. Air fry. Line the basket of an air fryer with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Arrange the tortilla wedges in a single layer inside the basket without overlapping. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
  6. Cool and serve. Transfer the crispy tortilla chips to a plate or wire rack to cool. They will continue to crisp as they cool. Serve once slightly cooled and enjoy this sweet, crunchy snack.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg or vanilla extract to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Use fresh tortillas for the best crispiness and texture.
  • Air fryer models vary; adjust cook time slightly as needed to prevent burning.
  • These chips can be served alone or with dips such as cream cheese or fruit preserves.
  • Store leftover chips in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
