A quick and delicious air fryer breakfast sandwich featuring crispy sausage patties, perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, melted cheddar cheese, and toasted English muffins. Ready in just 15 minutes, this recipe is perfect for a satisfying morning meal with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Sausage Patties

  • 2 frozen sausage patties

Butter and Eggs

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Sandwich Components

  • 2 English muffins, split in half
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Air Fry Frozen Sausage Patties: Place the frozen sausage patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between each. Air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking. Once done, remove and keep warm, tenting with foil if needed.
  2. Prepare Air Fryer Eggs: Put the butter into two ramekins and place them in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F for 2 minutes to melt the butter. Remove the basket, gently crack one egg onto a dish without breaking the yolk, and carefully slide it into a ramekin. Repeat for the second egg. Set the air fryer to 375°F and cook the eggs in the ramekins for 4 minutes to achieve over-easy eggs with runny yolks. Season with salt and pepper. Carefully remove ramekins and keep warm.
  3. Toast English Muffins: Arrange English muffin halves in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 400°F for 4 minutes without flipping. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each bottom half, close the air fryer, and let the residual heat melt the cheese.
  4. Assemble Sandwiches: Layer each toasted muffin bottom with a cooked sausage patty, an over-easy egg, then close the sandwich with the muffin top. Serve immediately for a warm, flavorful breakfast sandwich.

Notes

  • For firmer yolks, increase egg cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
  • Use ramekins that fit comfortably in your air fryer basket to avoid overcrowding.
  • Butter in ramekins ensures eggs cook evenly and prevents sticking.
  • If you prefer, substitute sausage patties with bacon or ham slices.
  • Make sure to preheat your air fryer to the specified temperatures for best results.
