Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 1 ½2 lb chicken breast (34 chicken breasts), boneless, skinless

Spice Rub:

  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Others:

  • olive oil/oil spray
  • ⅓ cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare Spice Rub: Combine paprika, garlic, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Prep Chicken: Pound chicken to even thickness. Pat dry, then coat with olive oil and spice rub.
  3. Air Fry: Place chicken in air fryer, cook at 360°F for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for another 8-10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  4. Add BBQ Sauce: Spread BBQ sauce on chicken, return to air fryer for 1-2 minutes until heated to 165°F.
  5. Rest & Serve: Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Pound chicken for even cooking.
  • Adjust cooking time for thicker or thinner chicken breasts.
  • Add BBQ sauce only at the end to prevent burning.
  • Try smoked paprika for a smoky flavor.
