Delicious and quick Air Fryer Bananas with Cinnamon Sugar, a sweet and crispy treat perfect for snacks or desserts. Ripe bananas are coated with a mixture of brown sugar and ground cinnamon, then air fried to caramelized perfection in just minutes.

Ingredients

Bananas

  • 2 ripe bananas

Coating

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Select and Cut the Banana: Choose ripe yet firm bananas. Peel them and slice into elongated rings or cut lengthwise into halves for preferred shapes. Ensure slices are roughly uniform for even cooking.
  2. Coat the Banana in Cinnamon Sugar: Place the banana slices into a bowl and sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Toss gently to coat each piece thoroughly with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. Air Fry the Bananas: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the coated banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Air fry for about 5 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through (around 3 minutes) to ensure even caramelization. The bananas should become golden and slightly crispy.
  4. Serve: Carefully remove the bananas from the air fryer using silicone tongs and transfer onto a serving plate. Enjoy immediately, optionally paired with vanilla ice cream, granola bowls, jelly sandwiches, or bagels for a delightful treat.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture; overly ripe bananas may become too soft.
  • The cooking time may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and banana ripeness.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg or add a dash of vanilla extract to the sugar mixture.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
  • Experiment with toppings such as nuts or chocolate drizzle.
