These quick & easy pan-fried noodles are made with a handful of ingredients in a single pan, making it the perfect meal to add to your dinner rotation. Tossed in a savory sauce and aromatic vegetables, these stir-fried noodles are packed with flavor and can easily be customized to your liking.

Ingredients

Noodles:

  • 300g fresh noodles

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper or black pepper
  • 1 tbsp water

Other:

  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, cut lengthwise in 2″ pieces
  • 1 cup bean sprouts or other vegetables
  • 1 tsp sesame oil to finish

Instructions

  1. Combine Sauce: Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Prepare noodles according to package instructions, rinse under cold water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Stir Fry: Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium heat. Cook garlic and white parts of green onion until fragrant. Add noodles, pour in the sauce, and cook for 2-3 minutes until noodles are caramelized.
  3. Finish: Add bean sprouts, reserved green onion, and sesame oil. Mix well and serve hot.

Notes

  • Using fresh pre-cooked noodles will result in the best texture, but dried noodles can also be used.
  • Various noodle options can be used such as Hong Kong style, Shanghai, chow mein, udon, ramen, or yakisoba noodles.
  • Fresh noodles can be quickly prepared by blanching in boiling water or hot tap water.
