A creamy and flavorful White Sauce Pasta made with tender pasta, sautéed mixed vegetables, broccoli, and a rich homemade white sauce, finished with melted shredded cheese for a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 200 g pasta
  • 1 bowl frozen mixed vegetables
  • 250 ml white sauce
  • 1 bowl broccoli florets
  • 1 bowl shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the white sauce: In a pot, gently heat the white sauce until it comes to a boil, then turn off the heat and set it aside to keep warm.
  2. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon of oil, then add the pasta. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the pasta is soft but still firm to the bite. Drain the pasta and rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic: In a separate pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant to enhance its flavor.
  4. Cook vegetables: Add the frozen mixed vegetables to the pan and sauté for 1 minute. Then add the broccoli florets and stir for another minute to bring out their natural sweetness.
  5. Add pasta and season: Add the cooked pasta to the vegetable mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, mixing well to combine all flavors.
  6. Add cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the pasta and stir continuously for about 1 minute until it melts and binds all ingredients together into a creamy mixture.
  7. Serve: Serve the White Sauce Pasta hot, garnished as desired for an immediately satisfying meal.

Notes

  • Ensure the pasta is cooked al dente to maintain the best texture.
  • Use any combination of your favorite frozen or fresh vegetables.
  • Adjust seasoning according to taste preferences.
  • If white sauce is store-bought, heat gently to avoid burning.
  • For a creamier texture, add a splash of cream or milk to the white sauce before heating.
