Strawberry Bliss Balls are a healthy, no-bake snack made with fresh strawberries, oats, sunflower seeds, and a touch of maple syrup for sweetness. Coated in desiccated coconut, these bite-sized treats are perfect for a nutritious dessert or energy boost and require minimal prep with no cooking necessary.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g strawberries (1 cup, approx. 12 strawberries)
  • 150 g oats (1.5 cups)
  • 140 g sunflower seeds (1 cup)
  • 50 g desiccated coconut (0.5 cups)
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

For Coating

  • 2 Tbsp desiccated coconut

Instructions

  1. Watch Recipe Video: View the quick recipe video to understand the process, noting the slight differences in ingredient substitutions and absence of coconut oil as per the updated recipe.
  2. Prepare Strawberries: Remove the tops from the strawberries and weigh or measure 200 g, which is roughly 1 cup of sliced strawberries.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Place strawberries, oats, sunflower seeds, desiccated coconut, maple syrup, and vanilla essence into a food processor.
  4. Process Mixture: Blend all ingredients thoroughly until a fine paste forms and the mixture comes together as a rollable dough. This may take some time, so be patient to achieve the desired texture.
  5. Chill Mixture: Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to firm it up, making it easier to roll into balls. This step can be skipped if using frozen berries.
  6. Scoop Portions: Use a damp tablespoon to scoop out portions of the mixture to prevent sticking.
  7. Roll Balls: With damp hands, roll each portion into a smooth ball shape.
  8. Coat with Coconut: Roll each ball in desiccated coconut by placing a few tablespoons of coconut in a small bowl and coating the balls evenly.
  9. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the coated bliss balls for at least 2 hours or overnight before serving to allow them to firm up and develop flavor.

Notes

  • Dampening the tablespoon and hands helps prevent the mixture from sticking when shaping the balls.
  • If using frozen strawberries, the chilling step before shaping can be omitted.
  • The recipe originally suggested coconut oil and coconut flour, but these are no longer needed for the updated version.
  • Store the bliss balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • These bliss balls are a naturally sweetened, no-bake, and nourishing snack option.
