Pepper Jelly and Cream Cheese Bites are the perfect party appetizer, featuring puff pastry cups filled with cream cheese and red pepper jelly. These bites are easy to make and bursting with flavor, making them a hit at any gathering.

Ingredients

Puff Pastry Cups:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • flour (for flouring the surface where you roll the puff pastry)
  • nonstick cooking spray

Filling:

  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 6 oz red pepper jelly
  • Optional: fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Puff Pastry: Leave the puff pastry sheet at room temperature for 15 minutes. Unfold and roll it flat on a floured surface. Cut into 12 equal pieces.
  2. Bake the Pastry: Spray a muffin tin with nonstick spray and place a puff pastry piece in each cup. Bake at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Add the Fillings: Spoon cream cheese into each pastry cup, then top with red pepper jelly. Bake for an additional 6-8 minutes.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Allow the bites to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves, if desired.

  • If the pastry puffs up too much, gently press the center down with a spoon.
