Ingredients

Ground Meat:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or ground turkey, chicken, or pork)

Potatoes:

  • 3 medium Potatoes (peeled and diced)

Vegetables:

  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 1 bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Liquid & Cheese:

  • 1 cup Beef Broth (or chicken broth)
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded, or your favorite cheese)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (for cooking)

Garnish:

  • Fresh Parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Potatoes: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and cook for 8-10 minutes until they start to soften and lightly brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the Ground Meat: In the same skillet, cook the ground meat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add Vegetables and Seasonings: Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, and seasonings to the skillet with the meat. Cook until vegetables are softened.
  4. Combine and Simmer: Return potatoes to the skillet, add broth, and simmer for about 5 minutes until potatoes are tender and liquid reduces slightly.
  5. Add the Cheese: Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the mixture, cover, and let melt for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can add other vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach for more variety.
  • Use a different cheese like mozzarella or Monterey Jack if you prefer.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with hot sauce or add sour cream before serving.
