These Nutella cookies are a delightful treat for any Nutella lover. Chewy dark chocolate cookies filled with Ferrero Rocher pieces and a creamy Nutella center, they are a perfect indulgence for the holidays or any time of year.

Ingredients

Nutella Filling:

  • 3/4 cup (222 g) Nutella
  • 15 Ferrero Rocher

Cookie Dough:

  • 1 1/2 cups (188 g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 cup (40 g) Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup (168 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (165 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • Chopped hazelnuts and sea salt, for sprinkling on the cookies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Nutella Filling: Line a small cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop Nutella into 17 portions and freeze until firm.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Chop Ferrero Rocher: Roughly chop the Ferrero Rocher and set aside.
  4. Prepare Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Cream Butter and Sugars: Cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
  6. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Mix in egg yolks and vanilla until pale and fluffy.
  7. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Mix in the dry ingredients and fold in chopped Ferrero Rocher.
  8. Form Cookies: Scoop dough portions, add Nutella filling, and shape into balls.
  9. Bake: Bake cookies for 10-11 minutes, shape with a cookie cutter, then cool and sprinkle with hazelnuts and sea salt.
