This refreshing Mango Iced Tea recipe combines the bold flavor of brewed black tea with the sweet, tropical taste of ripe mangoes and a touch of honey. Perfect for warm days, this easy-to-make beverage is served chilled or over ice to keep you cool and energized.

Ingredients

Tea

  • 3/4 gallon brewed black tea

Mango Puree

  • 4 large very ripe mangos, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare Mango Puree: Add the peeled mango slices, 1/4 cup water, and honey to a blender. Pulse until the mixture is fully liquefied to create a smooth mango puree.
  2. Strain Puree: Pour the mango puree through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove the mango pulp, ensuring a smooth consistency.
  3. Combine Tea and Puree: Stir the strained mango puree into the brewed black tea thoroughly. For an extra smooth texture, optionally strain the combined mango tea mixture once more.
  4. Serve: Chill the mango iced tea in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice cubes. Enjoy this refreshing drink on a warm day!

Notes

  • Use very ripe mangos for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Straining the mango puree removes pulp, but if you prefer a thicker texture, you can skip this step.
  • You can adjust the honey amount to suit your preferred level of sweetness.
  • For a fruity twist, garnish with fresh mango slices or a sprig of mint.
  • This recipe makes about 8 servings, perfect for sharing at gatherings.
