Ingredients

Herb Blend

  • ⅓ Cup Coriander Leaves
  • ⅓ Cup Mint Leaves
  • 1 Green Chilli

Yogurt Mixture

  • 1 Cup Full Fat Yogurt
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • ¼½ teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • ¼½ teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 23 tablespoon Water

Instructions

  1. Blend Herbs and Chili: Place coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chili into a small blender jar. Process until smooth, adding 2-3 tablespoons of water to help form a smooth paste.
  2. Prepare Yogurt Base: Spoon 1 cup of full-fat yogurt into a small mixing bowl as the base for your sauce.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Add the herb and chili mixture into the yogurt along with salt, sugar, ground cumin, garam masala, and lemon juice.
  4. Mix and Chill: Whisk all ingredients together until well combined and smooth. Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Do not blend the yogurt with the herbs and chili to avoid a thin, watery consistency.
  • Use full-fat yogurt for the best texture and tartness.
  • If you don’t have a blender, use store-bought mint sauce mixed with yogurt and spices as an alternative.
  • Adjust the amount of green chili and sugar according to your taste preference.
  • Cover and chill the sauce to enhance flavors before serving.
