Ingredients
For the Topping:
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
For the Cake:
1 box chocolate cake mix
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Prepare the Topping – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan. Pour melted butter into the pan and sprinkle brown sugar over it. Spread cherry pie filling evenly on top.
Make the Cake Batter – In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and vanilla until smooth.
Assemble the Cake – Pour batter over cherry filling, spreading evenly.
Bake – Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool and Invert – Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then carefully invert onto a platter.
