Ingredients

Liquids

  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)

Fruits

  • ½ an apple, cored and roughly chopped (Granny Smith or any variety)
  • 1 banana (preferably frozen)
  • ½ cup mango (preferably frozen)
  • 1 lemon, juiced (23 Tbsp lemon juice)

Vegetables & Greens

  • 2 cups spinach
  • ½ an English cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery, roughly chopped

Flavorings & Add-ins

  • 1 inch fresh ginger root, peeled (or ⅓ tsp ground ginger)
  • 5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend milk and spinach: Add the almond milk and spinach to a high-speed blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and the spinach is fully incorporated.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and blend: Add the cucumber, green apple, celery, banana, mango, fresh ginger root, mint leaves, lemon juice, chia seeds, and ice cubes (if using) to the blender. Blend on high speed for 40-60 seconds or until smooth and creamy.
  3. Serve and enjoy: Pour the smoothie into glasses immediately and enjoy. For best taste and texture, consume fresh.
  4. Pro tip: Purchase fruits and vegetables in season, dice them, and freeze ahead of time to have ready-to-blend ingredients whenever you want a quick smoothie.

Notes

  • Using frozen banana and mango helps achieve a creamy, chilled texture without needing additional ice.
  • Chia seeds are optional but add extra fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
  • You can swap almond milk for any milk of choice, including dairy or other plant-based varieties.
  • Adjust lemon juice amount to taste for balance of sweetness and tanginess.
  • For a thinner smoothie, add more almond milk or water as needed.
